I wore a continuous glucose monitor for 8 weeks
Like anyone with an interest in monitoring and maximising their health (have I mentioned my Oura ring?), I’ve been keen to try a continuous glucose monitor for ages. Now I have, and my verdict was published in the Telegraph yesterday. I’ll paste it below if you don’t have a log-in.
The top line is that I bloody loved it. It was like a science experiment on my own body. I could instantly see how food, sleep, stress and exercise affected my blood glucose levels, which was a fascinating insight into my metabolic health.
As always, I try to address every side of a wellness trend (with apologies to diabetics, who might baulk at a CGM being described as a ‘wellness trend’, when for them it’s a potentially lifesaving medical device).
