My hair is growing back, my breast has been reconstructed and I’m getting a handle on my menopausal life. So I’m grateful for the open conversation about it, but it’s slightly annoying that so much of that conversation is about HRT. Whether or not you can or should have HRT after breast cancer is a topic of some debate. But my oncologist was pretty clear when I asked if it was an option for me. No, it is not, even though my cancer was triple negative (so not related to oestrogen). As my oncologist straightforwardly put it: “If it comes back, it might be the other type.”
I'm taking HRT plus testosterone via Newson Health. Adding the testosterone was a game changer for me. I will read The Natural Menopause Method as I am interested to see what else is possible rather than being on HRT. Thank you for sharing.x
I can’t take HRT either coz of breast cancer. I definitely agree that exercise is my HRT. My twice weekly virtual strength trading classes with my cancer fitness PT Sarah is my salvation! Physically and mentally!
As I am of a certain age, the menopause is very distant memory. I sailed through it, don’t remember any issues with it.
My more recent menopausal incident was buying 4 tickets for “Menopause the Musical” prior to Covid. This didn’t happen due to the cancellation of performances and was put on hold until earlier this year.
The tickets bought in 2019 were still valid, and the 4 of us pals looked forward to the performance at last. As the ticket holder, I recently checked the date. Oops! Es aitch one T! Missed the musical by 2 days. Profuse apologies and refunds followed!

Thank you, Rosamund. Super interesting as ever.
Always stimulating and authentic.
Thank you
