Apparently Iām an upholder, though I suspect I have questioner rising. Listening to your great chat my Dad was SUCH a rebel! And I am a classic abstainer, living with a moderator who wonāt stop stocking the biscuit cupboard
This was great. I am a huge fan of Gretchen. A friend recommended her book, Better Than Before, to me a few years ago, which I really enjoyed. I then discovered the Happier podcast. I enjoyed this so much that I went right back and listened to every episode. No mean feat, as theyāre 30 mins+. Luckily, I had a long daily commute back then!
Iām an Obliger, like Elizabeth (Gretchenās sister). If anyone is interested, Gretchen has written a book about the four tendencies and how to āhandleā other peopleās tendencies, as well as your own. Really interesting stuff šš¼
I just took the quiz again - upholder - and couldnāt help but wonder what crossover there is between the four tendencies and neurotypical/neurodivergent thinkers x
Iām an upholder and it makes so much sense to me š Loved this episode ā¤ļø
Ooh turns out I'm an obliger! Which yeah... makes sense... Will someone please hold me accountable ?!
Gretchen has a Happier app. I donāt have it myself, but I understand that there are accountability tools within it that might help.
Time to set up an accountability group??

It's so interesting to identify other people's tendencies with this. Once you see it, you can't unsee it!
