Accept and embrace are two words that help me navigate seasonal shifts. I like to look for the beautiful nuances nature brings, be it roses in Spring or the quiet pause of a crisp Autumn morning before the clouds break (be it sun or rain!)

I find making a few changes in my home helps too, and it tends to start with a bit of a spring clean, whatever the season. A new woollen blanket has already found its way to my bed and I love having my windows open through the day to let in the fresh air while I work, then hunkering down into my new cosy layer in the evening

This is really good advice, there is so much to love about this season if you embrace it 🍂🧡

Completely speaks to me. It’s grey, cold and the days are short… and yet I’m meant to embrace it.. Could everyone stop with this nonsense.

But your tips are all good ones.

I feel you! Am going to try and embrace it though, since the alternative is resisting it, and resisting reality is never the best course of action I've found 😂

I feel exactly the opposite; summer fills me with dread and people think you’re odd for feeling that way. I adore dark and cosy. Definitely agree re the candles; they make a room this time of year.

This just goes to show how different we all are, and also how we so often feel we're the odd one for not loving what everyone else seems to! I think I'm ultra-tuned to the people who complain about summer and love autumn 😂 but actually I imagine most people are probably somewhere in between; finding things to love/complain about in each season. I guess it's about embracing the change - and getting some nice candles!

Hard relate. Where is my Indian summer?! One other trick that has helped me through winters is fire. Indoor fires, outdoor fires, candles…

I'm one of those annoying Autumn-obsessed people, but I've been feeling a little down nonetheless. Maybe because Autumn and Winter scream family festivities to me, and so this time of year is when I feel particularly homesick. I love your list of pick-me-ups! It's still hot in LA, but maybe I ought to have a bath anyway, in solidarity with my English Stackers :)

PS. Boots' early menopause campaign is fantastic! Thanks for sharing!!

Ahhh homesickness is hard - sending solidarity across the Atlantic. Although I love how they go all-out for Halloween in LA. That's a nice way to embrace the season 🎃🧡

Thank you! And yes, as a big horror fan, LA is a great place to spend Halloween! They really love to decorate for all the Holidays out here. I think it has to do with the subtle nature of our seasons. How else would we mark the passing of time? :)
